2333990691_9bbfea81fe_m.jpgHow many times do you want something and can’t get it? You don’t have enough money to buy it? You don’t know the right people in the right places? You are so close to finally getting the house or job that you really want?

So how can I tell you that all of us are blessed with everything we need right now?

Watch the evening news after a hurricane or tornado rages through towns and cities. Notice residents wandering aimlessly among the debris trying to figure out how to put their lives back together again.

Listen to the survivors tell their stories. Become aware of their sincere and honest truth – they have their life and each other. In that moment they know that’s everything they need.

It may not be comfortable or pretty. But in hard times, we get closer to the essentials and appreciate them even more. While many of us may not be in the best of times or the worst of times, there is still a lot to be grateful for.

I can attest to these words! Hard times have been a catalyst for many wonderful things in my life. I’ve learned to be grateful even for the hard times.

Hi Dana,
During those hard times, have you ever found that people around you can see more clearly what you need to do for yourself than you can?

I am so grateful for close friends and mentors who weren’t afraid to tell me the truth and help me through the dark nights of the soul. I can look back now at the tough decisions I had such a hard time making and hope that Spirit will bring the support to be there for me if hard times, hard places, and hard things to do show up again in my life.
