FAQ About SRT

What is Spiritual Response Technique?

“SRT is a system of researching the subconscious mind and soul records to quickly find and release the discordant, limiting ideas and replace them with loving, supportive ideas and beliefs. SRT provides an exacting, powerful, virtually painless and accurate way of changing the landscape of our inner and outer lives.” (page 1, The Freedom Path by Robert Detzler)

What is the Soul Record?

The soul record is also called the Akashic Record. This is a record of every thought, word, and deed that’s been done or left undone from the time the soul was formed until the present moment.

Who is the Source of information in SRT?

“Everyone has a High Self. Your High Self is both a part of you and a part of the All. It is not an extension of your physical self; indeed, it is you who are an extension of the spiritual realm! Your High Self may consist of from one to an infinite number of beings. These beings may be from many different spiritual levels. The higher in consciousness they are, the greater their ability and the more help they can provide to you.”
(page 8, The Freedom Path by Robert Detzler)

How does High Self communicate with us in SRT?

Hypnotism uses autonomic body functions, such as automatic writing or eye movements, to communicate with the subconscious mind. This ability to “answer through a body movement” is called an ideomotor response. In the basic SRT class, students are taught how to contact their High Self, how to ask specific questions to do the research, how to use a pendulum through which the High Self answers “yes” and “no” questions and points to information on the SRT charts, and how to clear the discordant programs, self-limiting beliefs, and negative energies in the subconscious mind and soul record.

What is the value of Spiritual Response Technique?

Many times we struggle with the same issues over and over again in our life: worthwhile relationships, satisfying career, enough money to live a lifestyle of our choice, enough time to do the things we really want to do with our life, etc. No matter how wonderful our goals, no matter how diligent our practices and efforts, we just can’t seem to break through to the end results we really want to have in our life.

The place where we are stuck is in our subconscious mind. This is where discordant energies may be tripping us up, and where self-limiting beliefs may not only be holding us back, but actually creating more of what we don’t want in our life.

“A basic premise in physics is, ‘for every action, there is a reaction.’ The emotional energies that you hold in your heart are constantly sending out into the world their constructive or destructive messages that produce your so-called good or bad luck. Change the inner pattern of thoughts and feelings and the future is automatically changed whether you want it to change or not.” (p. 118, The Freedom Path by Robert Detzler)

Where does SRT come from?

Robert E. Detzler studied Response Therapy with Dr. Clark and Sharon Cameron in 1986. Detzler received additional information from Spirit and learned to work with a spiritual committee he called the High Self, so he named his system Spiritual Response Therapy. He wrote two books on the SRT system that are currently the textbooks for the basic and advanced classes in SRT: The Freedom Path and Soul Re-Creation.
