The Perfection of Spirit dances as all life with a commanding Presence today. I take a moment, and with an inner awareness, I sense the connection of harmonious alignment with Source. I am a pathway of Divine Love today.

Using the life of Jesus and the messages of my ancestors I reflect on the need to remember and know Spirit.

I call on trust to fill my world so that I am never frightened of change like the temple priests.

Clarity flows through me so that I am not confused when things do not go as I expect them to, just like the disciples.

I know there is only One power of Divine order in life so I shall not be alarmed when my power is challenged like the Roman authorities.

Daily, I express joy for life eternal and am never filled with sorrow over the loses in my life just as the two Marys. I know what it is like to be different, to be misunderstood, and to feel rejected, yet like Jesus I stand firm as a Spiritual being who is wise and intelligent. And in those times when change is coming and I must say goodbye as death draws near, like Jesus at the Lord’s Supper I can remain at peace.

Today I aspire to demonstrate the courage and the trust in God that Jesus practiced during his final days on Earth!

I give thanks for the traditions and stories that allow the greater awakening. Jesus on the cross breaks my heart. The story of his journey breaks it Open and I am filled with compassion towards this soul who was so graceful at living the Presence.

And so it is.

I love greeting cards – the beautiful illustrations, the personal comments, and the special messages for my very own day.

For me, it’s also another opportunity to practice the message of the “everyday mystic” and to weave each card into my daily meditations of grounding and gratitude, attraction and appreciation.

Here are some of my favorite lines. May they enrich and inspire you too.

“The world was blessed the day you were born. You are a gift to us all!”

“Enjoy the sweetness of life…
the joy of family and friends…
and the peace that comes from God above.”

“Today may you be visited by happiness.”

“As you grow into all that God has planned for you this year,
may each day give way to blessing after blessing.”

Blessings on your birthday, whenever it comes this year. Feel free to come back and share some of your favorite birthday greetings with us.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

As suggested in Part I, for the past few days you’ve been looking at what’s on your mind and then writing down your observations.

The whole point in doing that is to gain more awareness of what your subconscious mind and ego are up to.

You are on a mission to empower yourself by taking back your power to create the kind of life you say you really want.

The tools you need to change your life experience into what you really want to experience are higher consciousness and more awareness on how to spiritually evolve into that better life experience.

Here are the last two suggestions that I invite my clients and students to use to turn around the energy and outcome in the observations they made up to this point.

3. Do a blessing for every issue you wrote down. Go back to the list of observations you’ve been working on in step 2 in Part I. Rephrase each entry to make it into a blessing, appreciation, or gratitude statement. The positive energy of these thoughts and feelings shifts your own energy field when you do this. Use statements like this:

“I am grateful to all the brave and wonderful people working on keeping our country safe.”

“I am delighted to see all the people making a good living, and rebuilding the economy in our country, because they give me hope for my own journey.”

“I enjoy seeing couples and friends having a good time together. Just like them, special people are showing up in my life too.”

“I am so happy for you, Nancy! You have a growing practice and lots of clients all the time. May you and all of them continue to prosper, grow, and to heal.”

You don’t have to speak or send these new statements to anyone. This is for your own confrontation with your self-limiting belief systems, and replacing them with more nurturing and supportive ideas and feelings.

4. Open your energy field to allow more goodness to come to you. Many times you push against your own prosperity and wellbeing, but you don’t know that because it’s happening on a subconscious level. Here is how you can reverse that and invite more goodness to come to you:

“I choose to be safe and protected at all times and in all places.”

“I give myself permission to have a terrific job or other source of income that allows me to live the life I’ve always wanted.”

“I choose to have special friends in my life and a significant other who is my perfect mate and companion.”

“I give myself permission to be successful. I give myself permission to have a full schedule of perfect clients. I give myself permission to continue to prosper, grow, and heal.”

In summary, the first step in healing any situation in your life experience is to come to an awareness of what is going on inside your head and heart, and to realize that this is where you still need to grow.

From there, you can take that awareness and desire to grow and move it into blessing others who are successful, or who demonstrate the end results you’d like to have in your life. This tells the Universe that you appreciate and welcome the same for yourself.

Finally, take it up a notch by choosing to reprogram your subconscious mind with conscious mind statements that begin with “I give myself permission….” or “I choose…” This is not an overnight result or a quick fix. You may have spent years of your life letting your subconscious belief systems handle the remote control for your life experience. Step up to the challenge, own your power to take charge, and consciously make a difference in your own life.

Give it a try and let me know how you’re doing. If you have some issues and feelings and you’re not sure how to take them through steps #3 and #4, drop me a quick, short email and I’ll help you with that. You can reach me at Janice@OurSpiralJourney.com

If you have some special ways to help yourself turn around the less than desirable events in your life, let us know what they are. Drop a line in the response box below (or click on the comment link in Facebook) and share your thoughts with us.

Whether you’re having sessions in Healing Touch, Reiki, or Spiritual Response Therapy, you can use these and other forms of energy work to open yourself up to even deeper benefits.

What each alternative healing modality does for you is to empower you to take charge of your own life experience. If you don’t like what you are experiencing at home or work, in your finances or relationships, you can change those outcomes.

The tools you need to change your life experience into what you really want to experience are higher consciousness and more awareness on how to spiritually evolve into that better life experience.

Here are the first two of four suggestions that I invite my clients and students to use.

1. What’s on your mind? This is the beginning of awareness. Listen to the thoughts going on inside your head. What are you thinking when you listen to the news? What are you thinking when you listen to the conversation among your peers at work or school, your friends on Facebook or in emails.

Look at what comes up for you when you read my articles on this blog, or any other source of spiritual wisdom that you read. A lot of the chatter in your head is ego driven. Becoming aware of what your ego is thinking, and how it is messing with you, is a really powerful step in evolving your consciousness.

2. Write your observations down. This is the beginning of stopping the endless cycle of letting your subconscious mind and your ego run your life by default. You are putting them on notice that you are going to step up and empower yourself to change your own life experience from this day on. Use short and explicit statements like this that name the issue and the feelings:

“I don’t feel safe anymore with terrorists threats in our own country.”

“I’m afraid I’m going to run out of money and be out on the street some day.”

“I don’t have somebody special in my life. I feel left out and abandoned.”

“I am jealous of Nancy Smith because she has a growing practice and lots of clients all the time.”

Try out these first two steps for a few days until you can catch your thoughts happening. You will feel so much more alert and aware as you understand how the human mind really works. I can almost see a smile on your face as you become more aware of your “reactions” to what people say and what happens around you.

In Part II you’ll find out how to turn all this around to open the door to more prosperity and well-being for yourself. If you’ve got some observations, but you’re not sure how to phrase them for the maximum impact, write me a quick and brief email at Janice@OurSpiralJourney.com and I’ll show you how to do that.

If you’ve found this information stimulating and interesting, please drop a line in the response box below (or click on the comment link in Facebook) and share your thoughts with us.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

There is no end to the current need, and there is no limit to the power of whatever you can share in your time or resources.

In the solidarity we have with them as the human family, let’s embrace them in a higher vision of hope and healing.

This is one way to hold and transmit love and light to those in need:

Choose a strong, affirming, and comforting statement to focus on like these lines from Rev. Angela Peregoff:

“I am a spark of light through which cosmic truth shines. I am a Creational Force in human form that is here to love all that I am afraid of, to look at what I am afraid to look at, and to send love to that which still scars the soul.”

Ground yourself with stillness and focusing on your breathing. Bring your awareness into your heart space and be at peace.

Now imagine yourself in a shower of golden and white light as you repeat to yourself:

“I am a spark of light through which cosmic truth shines. I am a Creational Force in human form that is here to love all that I am afraid of, to look at what I am afraid to look at, and to send love to that which still scars the soul.”

Then broaden your view, enlarge your landscape and see all the people of Haiti standing before you and stretching out to the horizon.

As you speak these words again, become aware you are speaking them for each of these beautiful souls standing before you:

“I am a spark of light through which cosmic truth shines. I am a Creational Force in human form that is here to love all that I am afraid of, to look at what I am afraid to look at, and to send love to that which still scars the soul.”

Imagine the shower of golden and white light around you spreading out over the people of Haiti in all directions. Feel the warmth of this blessing touching each of their hearts and lifting their spirits with hope. Know that this blessing is traveling to all the injured and wounded, drawing to them the people and resources to help them.

One more time, as you say these words, now imagine that you hear all the people of Haiti saying them with you:

“I am a spark of light through which cosmic truth shines. I am a Creational Force in human form that is here to love all that I am afraid of, to look at what I am afraid to look at, and to send love to that which still scars the soul.”

Sit in the stillness and sacred awe of this moment. In your own words, or with any prayer of your own, commend all these precious souls to the healing work of Spirit and release them into the care of Divine Love.

Return to your own energy field and make sure the shower of golden and white light is still intact all around you. Feel the comfort and peace of this light for yourself. Seal in this positive energy all around you as if you were pulling shut a curtain or a gate. Take in a deep breath and as you release it, bring your awareness back to the room you are in.

You can do this prayer exercise whenever you want for the people of Haiti, Afghanistan, Iraq, or any place in need. Remember to take care of yourself before and after this exercise with the light shower to safeguard your own energy field.

If you’d like to read the entire blessing from which the lines were taken for this exercise, go to Rev. Angela’s website www.angelaperegoff.com and look for the Morning Blessing for January 5, 2010.

True to what My Everyday Mystic embodies, here is a method to access any spiritual writing as both information and inspiration for everyday support and guidance.

You can use a pendulum or muscle testing to check your energy alignment with even the most profound mystical beliefs.

I’m going to use one line from the December 21, 2009 morning blessing of Rev. Angela Peregoff. (You can read her complete blessing on her website www.AngelaPeregoff.com)

Step 1: bring your awareness into your heart center and open up your soul presence. Become still inside and outside. The intention here is to center and ground yourself.

Step 2: read this statement two or three times reverently and reflectively.
“I know my life to be a continuous unfoldment of Holy Beingness, of I AM.”

Step 3: ask yourself if you believe this deep down in your soul. If you dowse or use muscle testing, you’ll get a yes or no answer.

Step 4: if you get a yes answer, ask yourself to what degree, or how much do you believe the statement in step #2. On a number’s chart you’ll get a percentage. With muscle testing, ask if you believe it more than 25%, more than 50%, more than 75% etc to get an idea of the strength of your belief.

Step 5: if you get a no answer to your question in step 4 or if you get less than 100% alignment by dowsing or muscle testing, then consider these affirmations. Affirmations are a conscious decision to override subconscious programming and self-limiting beliefs. You don’t even have to know what that programming is about or how you created it. All you have to do is be aware that it’s probably there because of the information you are getting about your degree of alignment with being the “continuous unfoldment of Holy Beingness.”

Reverently and reflectively read one or more of these statements:

I give myself permission to “know my life to be a continuous unfoldment of Holy Beingness, of I AM.”

I choose to be 100% aligned with knowing “my life to be a continuous unfoldment of Holy Beingness, of I AM.”

I invoke the help and assistance of my High Self to help me let go of the beliefs, perceptions and judgments that are not allowing me to be 100% aligned with knowing “my life to be a continuous unfoldment of Holy Beingness, of I AM.”

Step 6: be gentle with yourself and nonjudgmental. Allow yourself a moment or so to experience an energy shift from the affirmations. Then go back to step 2, 3, and 4 to measure how you’ve shifted your energy and increased your probability of being able to live out of this profound mystical statement.

You can now use this 6-step method for checking your alignment with, and creating an energy shift around, statements and beliefs that are important to you.

After the presents are opened, the holiday meals eaten, the friends and guests have left, some children express what may be on many minds, “I’m bored!”

It’s difficult to keep up the adrenalin rush of holidays without wearing yourself out or putting a hole in your wallet.

Where do you turn for warmth inside during the cold wintry days in parts of the US? Where are your sunbeams when the sky is grey and sullen? Where is your joy when the weather seals you up inside the house for days?

There is no boredom in beauty! Make that the starting point of a spiritual exercise that warms up your soul and thaws out your heart.

Look for something beautiful to focus on: crystal icicles hanging from a bare tree, hoar frost sparkling like a wonderland up and down the neighborhood, sparrows huddled together around the evergreens.

Listen to something gentle and tender: your favorite hymns, classical music, a singer whose voice touches you.

Do something kind and thoughtful: send an email card, make a phone call, go to lunch with someone who also wants to be out and about.

Make room for more beauty in your life: clean up a counter top or a small pile of clutter. Organize something you’ve been putting off or finish something you’ve started. It all looks good and feels good.

At the end of the day count the ways in which you savored more beauty in your life! As you make room for more beauty, there’s less space for boredom.

Whether you’re putting on the music and dancing to your favorite tunes or paging through a book of fine art pieces, you can’t get too much beauty in your life.

Give it a try and let me know what works for you. Please drop a line in the response box below (or click on the comment link in Facebook) and share your thoughts with us.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

I’m celebrating Christmas on December 25th here in the States!

Although I’m behind in the decorating, I’m taking my time to savor the spirit of this special season.

Greeting cards are some of my favorite things. I love the many different ways we say some of the same things.

Stroll through some of these tender sentiments and stop to taste the sweetness of those that touch you most.

May the Joy of Christmas stay in your heart
and bring you a year of happiness.

(What I love about this blessing is that it’s focused on the gift of Joy stored inside the heart from where it continues to pour out happiness through out the year.)

May you be blessed with
the love of family,
the warmth of good friends,
the joy of giving,
the happiness of children,
the celebration of life,
and peace throughout the coming year.

(This reminds me of the blessings I already have and take for granted. Wouldn’t it make a difference in the world if we appreciated what we already have, and supported those charities and services that help the less fortunate?)

In the peaceful joys of Christmas,
in the stars that shine above,
in the wonder of the Season,
in the gift of God’s great love
may you find hope and promise
that will bless this Christmas season
with very special happiness for you.

(The Christmas season is not always a time of hope and promise for broken relationships, people without jobs and paychecks, the homeless looking for a warm place to sleep on a cold night. May each of us do our part to make sure as many people as possible around the world have more hope and promise in their lives because of what we do with ours.)

What would you like to share from your Christmas cards? What’s the most beautiful greeting you’ve received or the message that touched you the most?

Please drop a line in the response box below (or click on the comment link in Facebook) and share your thoughts with us.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

Take the time to look for the inner light shining through the trees in full bloom or stripped of all their foliage.

Follow the lines of tree trunks and branches arching up into the sky like fingers poking at the clouds. Smell the earthy fragrance of wet bark after the rain. Marvel at the crystal sculptures of shrubs and trees encased in ice.

Notice the simple joy showing up in the freshness of rain or the first white snow, the blossoms of spring or the harvest of fall. Watch the pulse of life as birds build their nests and geese migrate.

Wait for the moment that unlocks your heart – and then enjoy the thrill of being totally alive again.
