Many of us are checking out our well being and finding some holes. Maybe we’re not content with the progress we’ve made this year. Maybe there’s a glitch in our health, or an unforeseen expense eating a hole in our checkbook.

We were cruising along in life and suddenly there’s a pile of rocks along the route. Let’s look as some easy ways to stay on course, be safe, and be well.

Stay focused on the clear path.

After all, that’s where you’re going to steer your ship! Never mind the chaos and fear that many others may be talking about or acting out. Mind your own business. That doesn’t mean that you’re not compassionate or not willing to share with those in need. But this is no time to sabotage your energy field and unbalance yourself by counting the rocks in everyone else’s journey and getting stressed out over their plight.

Be good at taking care of yourself.

If you’re not in charge of your ship, then who is? If you don’t know where you are going, then who does? If you don’t take care of yourself, then who else will? It’s no one else’s responsibility to love and take care of you. That’s your job. So get good at it. You’ll be doing it for the rest of your life. Know what you need for sleep, exercise, and healthy meals. Know what you like for a change of pace, a vacation, or spiritual renewal. Look for the positive aspects of your career so you can look forward to going to work or empowered to change jobs.

Call for help.

There’s always a lighthouse around. Your best friends, a counselor, or minister may be just the one you need to pour some light and understanding into your troubled waters. There are very few people on the planet who don’t need support. Don’t feel embarrassed or like a loser just because you are aware enough to know you need a lift! If you’re open to energy work, there are many qualified Reiki, Healing Touch, EFT, and Spiritual Response Therapy practitioners on this planet to introduce you to this healing.

These are probably not the times to put your ship on autopilot! And yet, you can’t possibly be tuned into your Source too much. It’s always helpful to see the bigger picture and to know that the smooth sailing is just on the side of the rocks!
