It’s still here. A few days, another week? There’s no telling how much longer they’ll be here. A lot depends on how strong the winds are.

The gold of autumn abdicates its throne from the tops of trees. Like tarnished treasure the leaves are heaped into piles by the curb.

It reminds me to rethink my priorities. To evaluate how I spend my time, what thoughts enter my mind, and what kind of feelings I allow into my heart space.

I like to use four simple standards:

Good: is it a good idea, a healthy plan? Are they sane, reasonable expectations? Are these events worth a few hours or even a whole day of my life? Do these relationships educate and elevate all of us involved?

One: is any of this in harmony with all that is? Am I supportive of the whole human family on this planet? Am I aligned with the greatest and most benevolent good of everything and everyone on this planet?

Love: is it more than fair – is it kind? The choices I make and the words I say, are they loving? In confrontation and disagreements, am I forgiving and gracious?

Divine: what would God/Jesus/Divine Source do or say in this situation? How would They handle my life if They were walking in my shoes? How would They treat all the characters in my life?

Now you’ve got GOLD! Savor it! Spend it generously! The more you use, the more you get.

I’d love to have a short and inspirational quotation for each aspect of GOLD! If you have one, please write it in the response box below (or click on the comment link) and share it with me. Anything that speaks about goodness, oneness, love, and the divine! Looking forward to hearing from you!
