Apathy, skepticism, and spiritual addiction are on opposite ends of the spectrum as indicators that your crown or seventh chakra need healing and balance.

Your seventh chakra is your connection to your spiritual nature. It allows you to integrate spirituality into your physical life, and to achieve a personal relationship with the Divine.

How do you know when this chakra is being blocked and under stress? Watch for these signs of trouble, and then get chakra balancing and healing through conscious intervention.

The central issue of your seventh or crown chakra is awareness and self-knowledge. The goal here is wisdom, knowledge and consciousness. The lessons are about learning your spiritual power and your relation to the Divine. So when you continually balance and harmonize your crown chakra with your chakra system, you experience spiritual enlightenment and union with God.

And when your seventh chakra is unbalanced or blocked, you may experience:

• A personal relationship with the Divine where that relationship is angry, empty, indifferent and estranged.
• You may be afraid of being unworthy, of being cast of out heaven, of being separate from and not able to find your way back home.
• You may be afraid of not being able to get it right.
• You may be apathetic or distrust all forms of religion or spirituality.
• You can’t see the bigger picture and you don’t understand your universal identity.
• You don’t trust life. You don’t have a set of values and ethics grounded in courage and selflessness.
• You can’t forgive and let go of past mistakes and grievances.
• You’re afraid of being lost in life, losing the way, and not making a life that counts for something.
• You’re afraid of becoming involved in any group or movement because in the past, religious authority or institutions victimized you or others.

In any degree, shape or form, any of these aspects are signs that your crown chakra needs healing and balance in order for you to experience your universal identity and rightful relationship with the Divine.

Beyond these indicators, there are still more serious issues that illustrate when this chakra is seriously blocked and affected. When that happens, you’ll see behaviors that are:

• Overly intellectual or exhibit spiritual addiction, confusion, and dissociation.
• Severe deficiencies such as some types of learning difficulties, spiritual skepticism, limited beliefs, materialistic, and apathetic.
• Obsessive about rituals and devotions, oppress and ridicule and suppress others for their belief systems.
• Compulsive achievers to compensate for lack of faith or spirituality.
• Ethnic cleansing and sectarian killings because they can’t see the bigger picture and the interconnectedness of all humanity.

When I work with you on assessing your crown chakra, we have a very easy and comfortable conversation with your High Self and my High Self. This is a gentle and tolerant time with total compassion and understanding. I’ve been trained to work with that part of your behavior that is not your conscious choice. Most of the time, I find that the programs and energies that run your chakras amuck are deeply hidden in your subconscious mind.
