Among the cards and gifts came the message I wanted to hear over and over again, “be filled with the love of God.”
Yes, my family and friends remembered what it’s like to “be there for each other.” They blessed me with sunshine and surprises and all the inner wishes of my soul. They wanted me to be happy and healthy, to reap the rewards of the giving and sharing I’ve done: “May the love you’ve planted along the way come back full bloom for you today.”
And through all of “life’s most precious blessings” sent my way, the only one that is unconditionally there for me is this unlimited love of God.
I know full well that this love is not a one-time promise or a one-way street with God doing all the giving. My responsibility here, my invitation comes in these words: “May you quietly await the movement of grace, and when it comes, move gently with humility, fidelity, and courage.” (Joanne Gallagher, CSJ of Gracious Mystery Mandalas)

Love does not have an expiration date. Love is not a game where some win and some lose. Love is not a contest where only a few get the prize.
In the USA, one of the highlights of our 2008 will be the presidential campaigns – who ran and who won. In some other circles, the headliner event may be the World Series, a Championship Game, or the Olympics.
Christmas Eve is one of those big days for love in many places around the world! Christians believe and celebrate the birth of Jesus as Emmanuel, God With Us. They recount their salvation history and the role of Jesus as Messiah, Savior, and Redeemer.
“Love does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered.” (1 Corinthians 13)
Every now and then a client will ask me, “What is true love?” Usually that comes in the middle of our discussion about ego, pain body, transference, and all the other fatal attractions that happen between human beings.
I live in Wisconsin in Central USA. Virginia is over towards the eastern end of the states. I’m not planning on driving there or flying for the Christmas season, but my heart is already running around those country roads.
Do you ever feel like you’re not “in” the place you want to be? Do you feel like you’re not doing what you’re really passionate about?
